Privacy Policy

Floofurz is a service operated by Agile Rocket Software LLC (“Floofurz”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

It applies to our website at floofurz.com, to the Floofurz web application, and to the emails and text messages we send in connection with them.

1. Two roles, and why the difference matters

Floofurz is business software sold to pet-sitting businesses. That means we handle personal information in two distinct capacities:

• As a controller, for information about our own customers — the business owners and sitters who hold Floofurz accounts. We decide how that information is used, and this policy governs it.
• As a processor, for the information our customers put into Floofurz about their clients and pets. That data belongs to the pet-sitting business. We handle it only on their instructions and do not use it for our own purposes.

If you are a pet owner whose sitter uses Floofurz, the business you hired is responsible for your records. Contact them first for access or deletion; we will support their request. If you cannot reach them, write to us at support@floofurz.com and we will help.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

• Account information — name, email address, phone number, business name, and password credentials.
• Business records you enter — clients, pets, veterinary and medication details, addresses and access instructions, schedules, visit notes and reports, and invoices.
• Communications — messages you send us for support, and your correspondence preferences.

Information we collect automatically

• Usage and device data — IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and timestamps, used to operate and secure the service.
• Diagnostics — error reports and performance traces that help us find and fix faults.
• Cookies — we use cookies that are strictly necessary to keep you signed in and to keep the service secure. We do not use advertising cookies and we do not sell your data.

Information from services you connect

If you choose to connect a calendar or a payment account, we receive the information needed to operate that connection — for example calendar event times, or a payment account identifier and payment status. We request the narrowest access that makes the feature work, and you can disconnect at any time.

3. How we use information

• To provide, maintain, and improve the service.
• To send transactional messages: visit reports, schedule changes, invoices, receipts, and account and security notices.
• To take payment for subscriptions and to support billing.
• To provide customer support and respond to what you ask us.
• To detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
• To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

4. Text messaging

Where a pet-sitting business enables text messaging, Floofurz sends SMS on that business's behalf — visit confirmations, schedule changes, reminders, and similar operational notices. You provide your mobile number to that business, and consent to receive these messages is collected by them.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

• Opting out — reply STOP to any message to stop receiving them. Reply HELP for help.
• Frequency — message frequency varies with your scheduled visits.
• Cost — message and data rates may apply. We do not charge you for messages; your mobile carrier may.
• Carriers — mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

5. How we share information

We share personal information only in the circumstances below. We never sell it.

Service providers

We use a small set of vendors to run the service. Each is bound by contract to protect the information and to use it only to provide their service to us:

• Cloud hosting and database — to run the application and store your data.
• Payment processing — Stripe, to process subscription payments and to enable your clients to pay you by card.
• Email delivery — to send transactional email.
• Text message delivery — to send SMS where enabled.
• Error monitoring — to detect and diagnose faults.

At your direction

When you connect an external service, or when your business shares a report or invoice with a client, information moves where you direct it.

Legal and safety

We may disclose information if required by law, or where we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect rights, safety, or the integrity of the service — including the welfare of an animal in an emergency.

Business transfers

If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, personal information may transfer as part of that transaction. We will give notice before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

6. Payments

Card payments are processed by Stripe. Floofurz does not receive or store full card numbers. When your clients pay you through Floofurz, funds settle to your own Stripe account; we do not take a percentage of those payments. Stripe processes payment data under its own privacy policy.

7. Retention

We keep information for as long as your account is active and for as long as we need it for the purposes described here. After an account closes we delete or de-identify data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain records to meet a legal, tax, accounting, or dispute-resolution obligation. Backups age out on their own schedule.

8. Security

We protect data in transit and at rest, isolate each customer organization's data at the database layer so one customer cannot read another's, restrict internal access to those who need it, and monitor for faults and abuse. No system is perfectly secure, but we take this seriously and will notify you of a breach affecting your information as required by law.

9. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. You may also have the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

To make a request, write to support@floofurz.com. We will verify your identity before acting. If your information sits in a pet-sitting business's account, we will refer the request to them as the responsible party and support them in fulfilling it.

You can opt out of text messages by replying STOP, and out of non-essential email using the unsubscribe link. We will still send messages that are necessary to operate your account.

10. Children

Floofurz is a business tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Where information is processed

We operate in the United States, and our service providers may process information there. If you access Floofurz from elsewhere, you understand your information will be processed in the United States, where data protection law may differ from your own.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. When we make a material change we will revise the date at the top and, where appropriate, notify you in the application or by email. Continuing to use Floofurz after a change means you accept the revised policy.
